following the publication of the lieux de passage series on my website (and a link to the page on photo.net), i got contacted late july 2005 by melissa villanueva the producer of the resting places documentary film.

i flew from france to kansas city on august 5th to be interviewed about my work and about roadside memorials in france.
there i met joe "kip" kipikash who recently directed the movie descansos and is the executive producer of the documentary.
i also met david nance who produced an important body of work on the subject and got interviewed too (his coverage of that weekend).

some of my lieux de passage photos are used in the resting places documentary.

the pictures presented here document my (short) day and a half stay in kansas city and in the us.
